Create Gift Baskets

 

Sometimes it isn’t possible to score a great gift for a decent price but you can make one. Gift Baskets can be created for just about any occasion. The can turn out fabulous and for just a little money using items you purchased with coupons. Here are just a few ideas below of what you can create from your grocery store and drug store finds.

House Warming Basket – Get a laundry basket or storage tote both will be appreciated and put to use in a new home. Fill it will paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags and cleaning supplies. Then add some dish clothes, scrub brushes and some little odds and ends from the dollar store.

Heading off to College –  Get a laundry basket or mesh laundry bag. Fill it with snacks, plastic silverware, paper plates, toiletries  and school supplies. Most College students are low on funds and would appreciate any sort of non perishable foods. Canned pasta is also great just make sure you add a can opener.

Pamper Me Basket –  Pamper me baskets are great for any occasion. You can give them for a birthday gift for someone who does have a lot of money, for someone who just had a new baby, etc. You can start with a cute bag to hold everything. Add some terrific shampoo and conditioner, body wash, razors, lotion, nail polish and just about anything the is girly and relaxing.

Kids Birthday Basket – Get a small totes or bag and fill it with all kinds of art supplies. Markers, construction paper, colored pencils, crayons, glue, scissors and notebooks can all be purchased cheaply at back to school sales and kept until needed.  Add other little touches for a boy or girl. A couple Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars or a little doll or costume jewelry for a girl.

Movie Night Basket - This is a great basket for new parents. In a small totes or basket add a girt certificate for a free movie rental, popcorn, and other snacks. Add a bottle of wine or their favorite beverage. If you are felling particularly generous add free baby sitting services on the night of their choice.

There are so many things you can create a gift basket for, the possibilities are endless.
